Check for signs of life in Sandara. She coughs water. She lives! Mine soul be still. I roll her on her side to allow for the water to exit properly. Tilly mentions Sandara taking a beating from the grinylows. Prithee, have you naught a means to heal her by chance?. She denies means, then promptly collapses from wounds sustained by the squid. I catch her and lend support. She inquires into Mirei and I’s presence. We found sign of Sandara’s presence here. I, Mirei, Rak and the monk ’tempted rescue yesterday, but were driven back by the creatures within and forced to try again today. We returned while the other two sought to return and report.
Tilly mentions Goyle’s absence. He weren’t but a bit behind. I fear Davy Jones hath taken him. She suggests looking for him. I hesitantly concede and climb back in the waters. Goyle then surfaces, removing a piece of tentacle from his arm. I help him ashore. He regales me with tales of duplicity, corruption, and betrayals yet to happen. Mirei admits to being charged with killing Rak, Sho and I. A flash of rage surges though me momentarily. However, knowing my life was literally in her hands not long ago, and still having it, soothes that rage. There’s talk that Rak and Sho could be dead already. Goyle suggests we leave immediately.
Agreed. Let us make haste anon.
We depart the caves. I carry Sandara, while Goyle takes care of Tilly. We swim our way back to the shore near the cornfield. Once there, we rest momentarily before set off again. The group decides to circumvent the cornfield, not knowing what dangers reside within. Finally we make it around and continue on the path towards where we are to rendezvous with the others.
Session ends with us near a fork in the path and faint voices are heard in the distance.
