I was excited to see that we were going to be spending time off of the ship and away from those despicable and rotten excuses of people Plugg and Scourge. The nights prior were quite draining and hectic. I found it difficult to try and say anything to Harvus about Sandara, and Mirei had seemingly closed herself off to me. I suspect that Scourge is keeping a close eye on her at the moment so I decide to keep silent about the matter.
We arrive on the island with little trouble thankfully, though the place feels as though it has a story to tell. Had the circumstances been different, it might have been an interesting place to explore. We made our way to a destroyed bridge across a swampy river. Most of us climbed, but Rak, never one to miss a chance to “Parkour” as he puts it, jumped across the remaining stumps to cross. To his credit he nearly made it, and the only thing that stopped him was a large frog monster. I was about to leap into the fray, but Mirei surprised me with a display of magic, entrancing the frogs long enough for Rak to get loose and escape.
We soon found a suitable clearing with which to call it a night and set up watches around a fire so as to not get caught unaware. Which thankfully we did as we were ambushed in the night by three undead women. It was over quickly, though I do believe one of the boys were bit. It didn’t seem to affect them, though still I worried a little. The night passed rather quickly after that and I hoped the next day would fare better.
